General Questions

:: What is Magician's Market?  Who owns it?
Magician's Market is owned and operated by Mage, LLC, established in 2006.  Magician's Market was created for magicians to buy magic items, such as props, supplies, and books for cheaper, while selling their old magic props and magazines that they do not use any more.  Also, we hope that this marketplace will help magicians to get extra income while they work on their new magic.

:: Who are eligible for using this website?
Anybody who are interested in magic, and who are at least 18 years old.

:: How safe is this website?
We do our best to keep the website as safe as possible, including protecting your password and your privacy.  If you find any weak spots in our security, please contact us.

Questions about Buying

:: I cannot find what I want...
According to the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM), there are at least 13,000 magicians who are member of IBM and of course, there are a lot  more who are not a member of any magic organizations.  If you do not find anything that you do not find, leave what you are looking for in our Wish List!!!

:: How can I pay for the item I purchase?
Different sellers offer different payment method but it will be one of the following:
1) Paypal or Credit Cards
2) Checks
3) Money Orders
Please see payment method accepted by sellers toward the bottom of each item description pages.
 

:: How safe is to buy items from this website?
We do our best to keep the website as safe as possible, including protecting your password and your privacy.  However, please always be cautious whenever you purchase items from sellers.  Please read all the information that the seller offers and always ask yourself if the offer is realistic.  Also, please check the ratings of the seller.  If you have any question, we strongly suggest you contacting the seller before you purchase anything.

:: Seller does not ship the item...
Please contact the seller first to see if the seller is just being late with shipping item or if the seller is cheating.  If you decide that the case is more likely be fraud, email us your ID, seller's ID and the order batch.

:: What payment methods can I accept?

:: What shipping methods can I offer?
You may offer any shipping methods but currently at Magician's Market, you can offer a flat rate only.  However, you may instruct buyers to add certain amount for special shipping in the Confirmation page after clicking "Buy this item" button.

        eg.) Seller's Shipping Instruction:
                Please add $15 for the shipping if you are in overseas or
                add $10 for express mail service.  For overseas express shipping, please add $25.

:: My item not listed!!!
If you are a Market Member, your item will not be listed until we confirm your payment, which may take up to 24 hours.  If your item is not listed after 24 hours, please contact us.

:: When do I have to pay for listing my item(s)?
<Market Member>
    - When you list your item(s).
    - Please make payment right after you submit your ad for faster transaction.
     (If you miss your payment for some reason, you can still pay from "My Account" page.)

<Merchant Member>
Monthly Subscription Fee:
   - When you pay your monthly subscription fee, your Merchant Membership will be valid for 30 days.
   - After 25 days, $9.99 will be added in your invoice located in "My Account".
   - You may choose to pay the monthly fee in the invoice but you do not have too. 
      If your monthly subscription fee is not received, your membership status will get back to Market Member.
   - You may subscribe for Merchant Membership again anytime you want.

Listing Fee (additional features)
   - Remember that you can list for free, and advertise as many units as you want if you have many of the same product.
     (our system will automatically calculate how many units are left)
   - When you list your item(s) with additional features, all the charges will be shown in the invoice at "My Account."
   - You will have 20 days to pay your dues.
   - You may pay right after you submit your ad, or later with other payments due from "My Account" page.

:: What happens if I miss my payments to Magician's Market?

   - Your ad will not be listed.
<Merchant Member>
Monthly Subscription Fee:
   - If your monthly subscription fee is not received, your membership status will get back to Market Member.
Listing Fee (additional features):
   - Missed dues will be added to your next monthly subscription fee.
   - If payment is not made within 35 days of your listing, your account will be suspended and your ad will be deleted.
 

:: What additional features are there when listing items?  and what are the cost?

:: What happens to my ad if my Merchant Member status expires and I do not pay again for Merchant Membership?
 - Your monthly subscription fee will be shown in the invoice on "My Account" page.
 - If monthly subscription fee is not received, your membership status will get back to Market Member.
 - To cancel your Merchant membership, simple not pay the next subscription fee.

:: How secure is it to sell item in this website?
We do our best to keep the website secure.  However, please always be careful when you send your product.  We strongly suggest you receive payment first then ship your item.

:: Buyer does not make a payment...
Please send invoice to the buyer and if you still do not get any response, please contact us.

Membership Questions

:: What are the benefits of becoming a Market Member?
There are several benefits of becoming a Market Member ($9.99/mo)
 - You can list as many items as you want
 - Fast listing - once you submit your ad, it will be posted right away
 - You can list multiple quantities of the same item for free
 - You can edit your ad any time you want from "My Account" page

:: How do I become a Market member?
In order to upgrade your membership, you have to become the Market member (free membership).  Whenever you want to upgrade your membership, simply click "upgrade membership" located several place, including "My Account."

Your membership will be activated after we confirm your payment.  It may take up to 24 hours.  Please wait for our membership upgrade confirmation email.

:: Can I cancel my Membership / Subscription?  How?
 Yes.  If you would like to terminate your membership at Magician's Market completely, please email us.  We will not ask you the reason why but it is appreciated if you could tell us why in your email.

 If you would like to stop your subscription and become a Market Member (free membership), please simply ignore the the payment for the next due for the subscription fee appear in the invoice located in "My Account".

:: Do I get my money back when I cancel my Subscription?
Monthly Subscription:
   No, once subscription fee is paid, the transaction is final.
One-year Subscription:
   Yes.  If you cancel your subscription within four days of your payment, you will get the full amount back.

:: How can I change my personal information?
To change your personal information, click on "My Personal Info."  Then click edit.  You may have to re-log in.  Enter your new information then click edit.

:: I lost my Password / User ID
Click "forgot my ID / Password" on log-in page.

:: When do I have to pay to Magician's Market?
When you list your item or when you subscribe for Market Member.  For more detail: click here

:: When I edit my ad, do I have to pay?
Yes, if you added additional features and the total due is more expensive than before but
No, if you are not going to add any extra things.
*We do not refund for dropped additional features.

:: What payment method do you accept?
